Here are all the Reflections that we have completed! You will be able to read about how I have developed as a Relational Leader over the course of the semester! I will share the prompt we had for the reflection and the link to my written reflection!

Prompt: Write a minimum two-page reflection responding to the following questions: Based on your self-assessment from Class 1, how would you describe your current understanding and use of Relational Leadership? How would you define each of the 5 main components (purpose, ethics, empowering, inclusive, process-oriented) of the model in your own words? With which areas of the model are you most confident? Less confident? Why do you feel that way? How does the purpose of the service action proposal, of SLC 101, and of the Village support you in better understanding and using the model?

SLC Self Assessment (1)

Prompt: Think about an organization to which you have previously or currently belong. This could be a group or organization from high school or a group or organization from here at State (group project team, your suite, ILC, a club you joined, etc.). Write a minimum two-page reflection that describes the group (its purpose, members, goal, programs, etc.) and evaluates how that group either reflects or fails to reflect relational leadership. Additionally, you should provide your own thoughts about how it felt to be a part of the group and what, if anything, you would go back and do differently. Given your experience with this group, what observations do you have for developing your service action proposal? Your reflection should create a clear description of the group you belong/ed to, provide a detailed analysis of the ways in which it does or does not use relational leadership, and illustrate your own thoughts about being a member of that group as well as how you would use this knowledge for your service action proposal.

SLC Self-Assessment (2)

Prompt: For this reflection, identify a real-world issue about which you are passionate (eg. homelessness, education, nutrition, etc.). Then, write a minimum two-page reflection responding to the following questions: Describe the issue you are passionate about, and why you are personally drawn to this topic. How does this topic connect to your Ethical Philosophy Selector Results? To your most salient ethical framework(s)? In what ways do your Talent Themes show up in your issue, selector results, and/or ethical frameworks? What sources of power contribute to/impact this issue? How does this information inform you service action proposal? Why does this information matter for your proposal? How does Relational Leadership connect with social responsibility?
